I finished work on Friday afternoon and headed down the hill to Central to get the night train to Melbourne.

Sydney Central was a buzz with the Heritage Rail Fleet Festival on this weekend so lots of train spotting going on!

I had a sleeper and a bunk mate. Spent an enjoyable evening chatting about life until lights out.

Arrived into Melbourne 8:00am it’s Saturday so the city was only just waking up.

Checked out David Jones for old times sake then headed to the NGV school holidays on so crazy busy.

Then went for a wander around Fed Square where I gate crashed the opening of the Seniors Festival – sat and listened to a community choir – love a good sing a long!

Finally able to check into accommodation so collected luggage and made my way to my rest spot for the next two nights.

More sightseeing tomorrow then Monday I start the Aussie Camino.
