Thankfully today’s walk was not as hard as yesterday. First a steep bit up onto the headland then some small inclines.

Weather was warm and a cool breeze as instead of the massive winds yesterday.

Seals both Australian and New Zealand – couldn’t tell the difference from our high but they were playing which was adorable to watch.

Spotted some Kangaroos who all stood upright to inspect us as we walked past.

Then on to the Petrified Forest felt like a moon scape to me.

All the while we had the roar of the ocean smashing against the cliffs as we walked.

At lunch time our crew had set up the vehicle with a shade tarp and chairs we had a cuppa and salad all under the huge wind turbines that dominate this area.

The final leg felt long we stopped at a campsite where there is a toilet and table. There was a lady there setting up her tent impressively she is walking the whole way on her own!

One rather large Brown Snake encounter right at the end of the day sent our hearts racing – it wasn’t bothered by us and just kept going.

At the end a gorgeous lake – shoes off we paddled and refreshed our feet- joy!

Back to our accommodation for a quick shower then to the pub for a well earned and very much enjoyed beer! Followed by the best souvlaki ever!
