Oh – so good! The feeling of waking up and not having to walk was wonderful this morning!
Some R&R then a walk into the town – only 10min to St Joseph’s church for a special Pilgrims Mass. Then some time to wander the Mary MacKillop Centre and a walk through the National Trust properties on Petticoat Lane.
At the centre we are given our official certificate and get our last stamp in our Pilgrim Passport. I felt quite emotional receiving mine, just like getting my Compostela in Spain – a special moment.
We gathered at our bus and are transported to a fantastic winery – we are in the Coonawarra after all.
At DiGiorgio Wines we are taken on a tour of the vines and production area – we even taste wine directly from the barrels. Lunch is a magnificent share platter with a taste of 2 whites, 3 reds and a fortified – wow what an experience!
