Today we head back to Melbourne in our van which has been our transport while on Camino.
There is quietness then chatter then quietness again as the kilometres whisked past. Thoughts of home and returning to “normal life”.
The country side is lovely someone spots an Emu, we stopped for coffee at Dunkeld – at the southern base is the spectacular Grampians.
Thoughts of more adventures and places to visit fill my head as we travel along.
We stopped lunch at Beaufort, we didn’t get to visit the Vegemite Museum Cyril Callister who invented our national spread was born nearby. (Good to know for pub Trivia)
We stopped to drop off pilgrims along the way and then there are just five of us at the end when we return to the Mary MacKillop Centre in Melbourne – where our Aussie Camino began.
I am collected by friends and whisked away to comfort and conversations and a great meal in a local pub.
A day in Melbourne tomorrow before I join the night train and return home.
